Position Responsibilities:

- Enhances parent/guardian/caregiver engagement and ensures that the program meets expectations for quality

- Assists in development and execution of special events and seasonal school-aged programs, such as Day Camp, for members and program participants.
- Participates in program marketing and retention activities.
- Fills in for other staff as needed.
Requirements & Preferred Qualifications for this position are:
- Must be 19 years of age and/or 5 years older than the oldest child that participates in the program and meet program requirements for education and/or credentials.
- Previous experience in a childcare or education setting supporting high-quality programs.
- Preferred candidates will have an Associate’s degree in child development or early childhood education or the equivalent in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education.

Under the direct supervision of the camp food service manager, prepares and cooks meals according to standards set forth by the camp, YMCA, County and State. When working shifts apart from the food service manager or as assigned, be responsible for all meal related kitchen duties including overseeing food aides and dishwashers.

- Manage all aspects of food preparation including cooking and serving food according to set standards
- Utilize a variety of cooking techniques: baking, sautéing, grilling, steaming, frying etc.

Scope of Responsibilities:
- Create a summary of grant deliverables, including programmatic and financial aspects of the award including the agreed upon reporting schedule. (Grant Compliance Matrix)
- Maintain the Grant Compliance Matrix for all grants under management throughout the life cycle of the grant.
- Schedule regular check-in meetings with grant stakeholders to discuss the programmatic and financial status of each grant. Identify any areas where that Association could be at risk on meeting key programmatic and financial deliverables.
- For Governmental grants, status meeting should be held no less than monthly
- For all other types of grants, the Coordinator will determine the cadence of meetings based on the grant requirements
- Track and report on progress of grants, programmatic and financial, working with operational and finance leaders. Provide monthly update to Senior Leadership Team
- When applicable or necessary, assist grant stakeholders and owners in reporting to grantors. Ultimately, grant stakeholders and owners are responsible to complete financial and programmatic reports to grantors.
- Maintain all relevant grant information such as grant awards, compliance matrices, key deadlines, etc., in the grants management system and help ensure all grant owners and stakeholders meet relevant reporting dates and that all relevant documentation is kept up to date
- Communicate compliance issues to relevant departments and department heads when grant is out of compliance or at the risk of being out of compliance and could negatively impact the Association
- Collaborate with other stakeholders and subject matter experts in analyzing and reviewing compliance with financial and other progress reports prepared by others to determine issues or errors, based on detailed understanding of specific grants requirements
- Manage compliance reporting and any pertinent scorecards that are necessary to maintain compliance.
- Assist in the development and delivery of grants compliance training throughout the Association to ensure an environment of grant compliance
- In partnership with the Mission Advancement relationship manager and/or Finance staff, assist in communications, when needed,to grantors when issues arise, budgets require revisions, etc
- Serve as the primary liaison for all programmatic agency led audits
- Track and assist in responding to data requests from other Association departments regarding grants
- As necessary and directed, assist in performing internal audits of grant related activities.
Minimum and Required Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience working with grants and restricted gifts from a programmatic and financial perspective, with a demonstrated record of success in supporting program and financial grant compliance.
- Understanding and experience with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), UNIFORM ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS, COST PRINCIPLES, AND AUDIT REQUIREMENTS FOR FEDERAL AWARDS
- Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, non-profit management, or related experience managing grants.
- Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through ability, and proven success in managing multiple and diverse priorities/projects under pressure.

Youth Enrichment Instructors are responsible for working on a team with other staff and a Program Coordinator to plan all aspects of the Kickback event series, on-site coordination, working with vendors, data collection, and outreach and promotion.
The Youth Enrichment Instructors will assist with the planning and implementation of the 11 Kickback events that are a part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago's My CHI My Future Year-Round Safe Spaces Humboldt Park Program. The Youth Staff should be positive, enthusiastic, civic-minded individuals with strong connections to their community. The YEI plays a key role in ensuring that program participants have a safe, supportive, interactive and enriching program experience while ensuring the safety and security of all program participants

The Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring learning objectives are met for the overall program while also providing individual and group support, instruction, and coaching to youth participants in a culturally competent environment. The Program Coordinator will also oversee all aspects of the Kickback event series, including managing youth roles, on-site coordination, working with vendors, data collection, and outreach. Scope of Responsibility:
Oversee Youth Employees

Workforce Development Program - Lifeguard/Swim Instructor opportunity
About Swim for Success: A Workforce Development Program
Swim for Success, a pilot IDHS workforce development program that will be taking place at the McCormick YMCA, will address multiple, intertwined needs by creating a direct pipeline for youth into in-demand jobs as lifeguards and/or swim instructors. At the same time, the program will teach life-saving swim and water safety skills, promote physical activity in a safe and supportive environment, create opportunities to interact with a prosocial group of peers, and promote workforce readiness skills that are transferable to jobs in any industry sector. We will be recruiting, employing, and training 10 youth ages 16-20.
The program will remove barriers to participation by providing youth necessary equipment and supplies (i.e., rash guard shirts, course materials), CTA Ventra cards, free instruction and certifications (e.g., American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, YMCA Swim Lessons Instructor certification), and an hourly wage enabling students to “earn while they learn.” This stipend is an important recruitment and retention strategy enabling youth from low-income households to support themselves and their families while participating in the training and workforce development program. Additional benefits to the youth include free YMCA memberships providing full access to Y programs and facilities, including aquatics facilities where they can reinforce their swimming and water safety skills.

Requirements and Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent with at least a year of Personal Training experience.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- NASM, ACSM, ACE, or AFAA highly recommended at the time of hire.

The Foglia YMCA is hiring a full-time Aquatics Team Lead to create a high-quality, safe aquatics experience for YMCA members and program participants.
Salary range of $16.00-$18.00 per hour with full time benefits and opportunities to grow within the organization.
As an Aquatics Team Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day operation of the aquatic programs. You will assist with maintaining records, scheduling staff, and ensuring proper pool maintenance. The Aquatics Team Lead assists with recruiting, training, and supervising YMCA team members, instructors, lifeguards, counselors, volunteers, and other team members as assigned and acts as a liaison between the Aquatics Manager and aquatics staff. You will teach swim lessons or lifeguard as necessary.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
- Must have an Associate Degree with 1 to 3 years experience and some supervisory experience.
- Current YMCA or ARC Lifeguard certification.
- Proficient in swimming and safety skills.
- Must pass a water skills test and written exam.
- Physically and mentally able to respond to emergencies and administer CPR and First Aide effectively.
- Physical mobility to properly use aquatic equipment to rescue a 200lb person.
- Physically able to see, hear, and communicate clearly.
- Able to read, write, and perform basic math to complete daily chemical logs and individual must possess strong organizational, budgetary, computer and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to train swim instructors.
- Excellent communication and public relations skills.
- Requires the ability to obtain trainer-level certification in YMCA Swim Lessons: Fitness Classes, Youth & Adult, Preschool, and Child/Parent.
